When Thomond Park, home of Munster Rugby, the Heineken Cup European Champions, underwent a €40 million redevelopment, it transformed the renowned stadium into a landmark structure that has changed the skyline of Limerick forever. Now with a capacity for 26,000 spectators, the stadium – one of Ireland's most revered sporting venues – has also become a multipurpose venue for the entire south-west region. A conference room catering for up to 560 delegates, banqueting facilities for 500, meeting rooms, corporate hospitality suites, and 14 on-site bars and refreshment outlets are among the features of the redeveloped stadium...and it is in constant demand since it was reopened. The attention to detail in the project extended to the specification of Altro flooring in several areas and Altro Whiterock pvc wall cladding in the extensive new kitchens. Following discussions between Altro distributor Westile and the Thomond project team, local flooring contractor Joe Walsh Flooring was commissioned to install Altro products in over a dozen locations in the new East Stand. The single largest area was the extensive kitchens, where over 300 sq.m of Altro Designer 25 (Storm) was laid with epoxy adhesive after damp-proofing and levelling had been completed. To complement the floor and provide a hygienic and easily cleaned wall surface, Altro Whiterock pvc wall cladding was installed throughout the kitchen. Altro Walkway flooring (Terracotta red colour) was installed behind the bars in the various hospitality suites while Altro Walkway Dolphin was the choice for the changing rooms where underfoot safety would be a critical factor with so many top class rugby players using the facility.

W160/161 PVCu extruded sheet is supplied with a protective film on its face, which can be left in place until the room, is ready for use. 1. A high impact colour co-ordinating extruded PVCu 'H'
joint trim (available in two part or single part profiles),
incorporating a watertight seal at the mouth of the
joint, which is unique to Altro Whiterock.

For temperatures above 60°C use stainless steel. Stainless steel must be used for all open
flame areas (available cut to size). If a layout showing
